    May 16, 2024 Minutes approved.

    Program Consultation Committee

Following the last meeting, feedback was to be sent to Woodbury or Espinosa-Pieb. Woodbury did not receive emails or comments, but met with DALA and Classified Senate to go over the committee. Members had questions on the difference between RAPP and the proposed Program Consultation committee, membership, what exactly the committee would do, reading of program review and asked for more clarity.

RAPP tri-chair noted that the work in RAPP is greater than the reading of program review, and there should be a secondary group, the work will still need to be done.

Members discussed identifying potential leaders, membership, charge, practices, decision-making, and benefits of creating this commitee. Members noted that more time is needed for conversations and suggested not moving forward for now, with the posibility of revisiting in the future.

RAPP tri-chair restated that one of the benefits of this commitee is to create a single body that looks at the proposal/creation of new programs, examines their ongoing operations and then considers program review, improvements, direction changes or discontinuance.

Members voted to reject the proposed Program Consultation Committee-- and revisit in the future.

RAPP recommendation on Instructional Resource Requests

RAPP is bringing three separate items to College Council for approval; Expenditures of the lottery fund, Instructional equipment, and SWP/ Perkins.

The SWP/Perkins comes through the CTE Commitee, RAPP voted to approve the recommendation as presented. Tri-chair noted the specific expenditures across the various programs that qualify for SWP funding showing the total for the 2024/2025 academic year.

RAPP looked at what qualified for lottery and instructional equipment. Hearn reviewed the draft, took requests from the needed column only, filtered those requests, and spoke to the deans about what is needed from the remaining items. Some items removed were an additional set of dryer and washer for Athletics, which will be covered with contingency money if the current set was to break down. And the request from the Planetarium for a digital projection system, which will be done as a two-year request instead, the cost will be split with Community Education.

RAPP recommends the approval of these expenditures.

Members voted to approve the recommendation and the Instructional Resource Request moved forward.
